Bougie Girl In The Kitchen: Ground Turkey Lettuce Wraps

Sometimes, I miss the cuisine of the Southwest. I have fond memories of purchasing a package of locally made tortilla wraps for under 3 bucks. At least twice a week, I made breakfast burritos wrapped in those delicious tortillas.

Earlier this year, I recall my heartbreak upon discovering that tortillas sold in the supermarkets here are upwards of 5 bucks package and they are not locally made.

Oh well.

Sometimes, ya gotta improvise. This recipe is actually what I like to refer to as reversible. You can either make it as a wrap or a salad. In addition, it is also very yummy, simple to make, and affordable to boot.

Here's what you'll need

1/2 cup of Cooked Ground Turkey seasoned with cracked pepper
1/4 cup of Sliced Green Olives
1/4 cup of Sliced Scallions
3 Lettuce Leaves
1/3 cup of Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
2 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 tablespoon of Balsamic Vinegar

Bougie Girl In The Kitchen: Blueberry Pie

It's Christmas evening and I had a hankering for blueberry pie.

Last Christmas, I was living in Santa Fe, NM. This Christmas, finds me living in a completely different region of the country.

My first Christmas in the Northeast and it has been a whole lot of fun.

I am glad that I moved here.
