Summertime Is Almost Here...

White flowers draw me in with their brightness and the promise of a fresh start.

When It's Right...

It's not perfect but, it's right. Right in the sense that there is no Ex in the background waiting to step back into the picture full-time. You aren't constantly being reminded how your gentle love is no match for her psychodrama. There are no inexplicable midnight phone calls to his cell phone. His friends do not give you sympathetic glances whenever they think that you aren't looking.

He's not constantly trying to convince you to look the other way on his dalliances and inappropriate behavior. You know that it's a true partnership and not just a cover story to make an Ex jealous or to please his parents.

Ladies, chances are this man is closer than you think. He's patiently waiting for you to embrace a healthier  relationship.

How long will you keep him waiting?

The Heart Of A Naturalista

Behind this mane of wild hair, beats the heart of a Naturalista.

This is the view from my balcony. I debated whether or not to capture this moment. Not everything we experience needs to be documented.

Divatosity Food: Pudding Cup With Whipped Cream On Top

Last month, I was burnt out on eating cookies and cakes. I craved sweetness but, didn't want to deal with crumbs. My solution was to add some whipped cream to the pudding cup. The result was a cool and refreshing dessert which only took a few minutes to prepare.

Natural State Of Mind

This is my hair in its natural state.

20 years ago, I would have been mortified to have anyone outside of my hairstylist see my hair this way.

In 2014, it's a different story altogether. Granted, this photo was taken in the privacy of my hair stylist's chair.

Divatosity Travel: Local Parks

A couple of weeks ago, I was out on my daily walk when I happened upon a local park. I must have driven past it at least a hundred times and yet, I never even noticed it. As I strolled through it, a sense of peace settled over me. Now, I have added it to my walking route.

The bridge pictured in this park overlooks a pond filled with ducks. I wanted to take a couple of photos of the ducks below but, they looked so peaceful that I did not wish to disturb them.

Soul Conversations Series: Chatting with a Soul Contract Enforcer

Every soul has to fulfill at least one contract within their lifetime. In fact, some souls are assigned to fulfill multiple contracts through out their lifetimes. These soul contracts are constantly being monitored by a review committee. Today, I am going to be chatting with a soul contract informer by the name of Vera. Vera has been a soul contract enforcer for over 15 lifetimes. She has seen just about everything under the sun when it comes to soul contracts.

Soul Mediator: Thanks for stopping by today.

Vera: No problem. I am always up for informing the public about soul contracts.

Soul Mediator: Just what is a soul contract?

Vera: It is an agreement between two or more souls which is established before they come to Earth.

Soul Mediator: That makes sense. Why do souls establish contracts with one another?

Vera: It's a way for them to learn about various things. It holds them accountable for their own personal growth.

Soul Mediator: Where does a soul contract enforcer fit into the …

Random Love Interest

Random Love Interest by Bougie Girl Apparel

I am not some random chick and yet my current relationship states otherwise. Our long range plans are hazy at best. I mean, he makes them and yet a part of me does not really believe that they will come to fruition. See, there are other people smack dab in the middle of our relationship. Their needs come WAY before mine. At first, I tried to be understanding. Past a certain age, people bring exes, children, and other random things with them into relationships. But, it feels like he is taking advantage of my patience.
Is there really a need to have an ex with whom you have no children on your car insurance policy? Why are you inviting her family over for a barbecue at our place?  These are questions that I ask to myself and out aloud to him. He just upset and accuses me of being overly dramatic.  The truth is clear to me. I am the loose end in his life. The random love interest whom just happened to be around when he was ready to settle down.
